The Development Impact Fee Deferral Program allows a developer to defer payment of City assessed development impact fees that would otherwise be payable in full when a building permit is issued. This innovative best-in-class program functions as a low-interest source of project financing by allowing a developer to defer payment of fees for up to five years, at very low interest rates, with no payments for the first 36 months.
The Program provides grants to small businesses to defray the cost of obtaining City planning and/or building permits and approvals required to construct or retrofit commercial space that the business will occupy. Small businesses are defined under the Program as businesses with less than 20 employees and revenues under $3 million dollars.
The Façade Improvement through Exceptional Design program (FIXD) provides grant funding and professional design services for commercial building owners making exterior improvements to the appearance and/or functionality of their building façade. Improvements might include paint, lighting, awnings, signage, and similar enhancements.
